The power distribution company's basic earnings per share increased to 314.65 yen from 260.14 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
Net sales slipped 4.7% to 2.247 trillion yen for the year ended March 31 from 2.357 trillion yen in the prior year.
The company declared a final dividend of 25 yen per share, payable from June 26.
For the fiscal year 2026, the company expects attributable profit of 130 billion yen, basic EPS of 262.70 yen, and net sales of 2.3 trillion yen.
Kyushu Electric Power plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 25 yen per share each for the year.
Kyushu Electric Power's shares gained more than 2% in early trade.
