Kyushu Electric Power's (TYO:9508) recorded a 31% rise in attributable profit in the first fiscal quarter to 61.1 billion yen from 46.7 billion yen a year prior.
Basic EPS increased to 126.17 yen from 95.85 yen previously, according to a Friday Tokyo bourse filing.
The power distribution company's net sales jumped 6.9% to 532.7 billion yen from 498.3 billion yen in the year-ago period.
The company expects an attributable profit of 130 billion yen, basic EPS of 262.70 yen, net sales of 2.3 trillion yen, and a total dividend of 50 yen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31.
