Kyushu Electric Power (TYO:9508) has received approval for the initial listing of Kyuden (TYO:642A), a pure holding company to be established via a sole-share transfer on Oct. 1, on both the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and the Fukuoka Stock Exchange.
Kyushu Electric Power's existing shares will see their last trading day on Sept. 28, with delisting scheduled for Sept. 29, ahead of the holding company's incorporation and listing.
Kyushu Electric Power is the primary electric utility for Japan's Kyushu region, supplying power across seven prefectures including Fukuoka, Saga, and Kagoshima.
