Kyoto Financial's Net Income Jumps Nearly 56% in Fiscal Q1

Kyoto Financial Group's (TYO:5844) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 55.8% to 20.3 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from around 13 billion yen a year earlier.

The financial services company's earnings per share climbed to 71.49 yen from 45.12 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

Ordinary income increased 22.9% to 64.9 billion yen for the three months ended June 30, from 52.8 billion yen.

For the six months ending Sept. 30, the company expects an attributable net income of 27.6 billion yen, EPS of 97.16 yen, and ordinary income of 113.7 billion yen. For the full year, the company expects an attributable net income of 52.00 billion yen, EPS of 183.06 yen and ordinary income of 225,9 billion yen.

Kyoto Financial expects to pay an interim dividend of 50 yen per share and a year-end dividend of 55 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
