Kyndryl, Aptiv Collaborating on Mission-Critical Systems

Kyndryl (KD) and Aptiv (APTV) said Tuesday they have entered into a strategic collaboration to help customers accelerate innovation in mission-critical environments worldwide.

Aptiv chose Kyndryl to provide advisory, implementation and managed service support to modernize customer experience and product engineering, with Kyndryl deploying Aptiv's Wind River software as part of its solutions portfolio, the companies said.

The companies will collaborate on joint go-to-market initiatives and integrated offerings designed to help customers prepare for an edge AI-driven landscape, while reducing deployment complexity and risk as they adopt edge and cloud capabilities, the companies said.

Shares of Kyndryl were down 7% in Tuesday trading, while Aptiv was 1.3% lower.
