Kurita Water Industries (TYO:6370) has agreed to an absorption-type company split, effective Oct. 1, transferring its water treatment facility maintenance and service business in the Chugoku Region to its wholly owned subsidiary, Kurita West Japan.
The split aims to strengthen Kurita's business foundation in the Chugoku Region to meet diverse customer needs and accelerate solution offerings, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
As this is a transaction between a parent company and its wholly owned subsidiary, no shares or other consideration will be exchanged, and Kurita's share capital will remain unchanged.
