Kurita Water Industries (TYO:6370) posted a 154% year-over-year surge in profit attributable to owners of the parent for the fiscal first quarter to 14.3 billion yen from 5.64 billion yen.
The water treatment company's basic earnings per share stood at 131.83 yen, compared with 50.84 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
Net sales rose 14% to 99.9 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 87.4 billion yen a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 50.7 billion yen, basic EPS of 475.47 yen, and net sales of 425 billion yen.
The company plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 67 yen per share and a year-end dividend of 67 yen per share, totaling 134 yen for the full year, up from 112 yen in the prior year.
