KT&G to Buy Back, Retire Over 2 Million Shares Worth KRW360 Billion

KT&G (KRX:033780) has agreed to acquire about 2.1 million shares for an estimated 360 billion won from Sept. 23 to Dec. 22, and subsequently retire them, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.

The share count was calculated by dividing the 360 billion won amount by the closing price of 173,800 won per share, and the actual number acquired may vary with stock price fluctuations.

The daily buying order limit is set at 207,134 shares, and the total limit for treasury stock acquisition stands at 4.624 trillion won.

Before the acquisition, KT&G held 14.2 million common shares as treasury stock.
