Kossan Rubber Industries (KLSE:KOSSAN) has agreed to acquire a 100% stake in cleanroom products distributor Inout Enterprise and a 51% stake in Inout Enterprise (Thailand) for a total of around 48.4 million ringgit, according to a Tuesday filing to the Malaysian stock exchange.
The company's shares were up nearly 3% in recent trade.
Under the pact, the company will acquire around 1.9 million ordinary shares in Inout Enterprise for 48.4 million ringgit, while the acquisition of a 51% stake in Inout Enterprise (Thailand) will cost the company 16,037 ringgit.
The acquisitions are aimed at expanding Kossan's cleanroom division and are expected to contribute positively to the group's revenue and earnings.
