Kosmos Energy (KOS.L) said Tuesday its net loss widened in the first quarter, while revenue jumped year over year.
Net loss for the three months ended March 31 was $225.6 million, compared with a loss of $110.6 million earlier. Loss per share moved to $0.45 from $0.23.
The deepwater exploration and production company's total revenue and other income were $370.9 million, compared with $290.4 million a year ago.
Solstad Maritime (SOMA.OL) committed to chartering Reach Subsea's (REACH.OL) construction support vessel Normand Jarstein for work in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.Under the letter of intent, the vessel will be chartered for two years, with an option for a one-year extension, according to separate Monday filings from the companies. The parties are expected to finalize the contract next week.The vessel will begin transit to Solstad within the week.
Transocean (RIG) reported a Q1 adjusted loss late Monday of $0.03 per diluted share, narrowing from a loss of $0.10 a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected non-GAAP EPS of $0.08.Contract drilling revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $1.08 billion, up from $906 million a year earlier.Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.03 billion.For Q2, the company expects contract drilling revenue of $930 million to $970 million. Analysts expect $962.2 million.The company now expects 2026 contract drilling revenue of $3.80 billion to $3.90 billion, compared with $3.80 billion to $3.95 billion expected earlier. Analysts expect $3.87 billion.
