Kosmos Energy Posts Lower H1 Net Loss; Revenue Climbs

Kosmos Energy (KOS.L) said Monday its net loss for the first half decreased, while revenue and other income jumped year over year.

Net loss for the six months ended June 30 was $40.8 million, compared with $198.3 million earlier. Loss per share moved to $0.07 from $0.42.

The deepwater exploration and production company's total revenue and other income was $987.9 million, compared with $683.9 million a year ago.

Looking ahead, Kosmos expects daily production in the range of 68,000 barrels of oil equivalent to 72,000 boe in the third quarter and 69,000 boe to 74,000 boe in the full year 2026, after adjusting for the sale in Equatorial Guinea.

Subsea 7 Lands Contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum

Subsea 7 (SUBC.OL) secured a "sizeable" contract to deliver subsea installation for Brunei Shell Petroleum's pipeline replacement project offshore Brunei.The agreement includes the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of a subsea pipeline, as well as riser systems, according to a Friday release.Project management and engineering work are slated to start immediately. The offshore engineering and construction services company values a sizeable contract at between $50 million and $150 million.
