Korea Electric Power to Keep Electricity Rates Unchanged in Q3

South Korea's state-run Korea Electric Power (KRX:015760) plans to keep its electricity rates unchanged at a maximum level of 5 won per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for the July-September quarter, according to a Monday release.

KEPCO has kept the adjusted fuel cost steady at 5 won since Q3 2022, according to Yonhap News, the same day.

The fuel cost adjustment rate for the third quarter was supposed to be lowered by 3.4 won per kWh, but was kept unchanged after the South Korean government announced that the current electricity rates would be kept steady to lower the effect of higher electricity rates on public livelihoods.

South Korean software company Innoax (KOSDAQ:296640) secured a contract from Samsung SDS (KRX:018260) to enhance the Samsung Life Insurance front-core system, according to a Monday filing with the Korean Exchange.The contract, valued at 3.48 billion won, is valid till Dec. 21, 2027.Shares of Innoax fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
