Kontoor's Core Brands Show Healthy Momentum Ahead of Q2, UBS Says

By

Kontoor Brands (KTB) is likely to post solid second-quarter results on healthy demand across its core brands, UBS said in a note Monday.

Wrangler held a 20% share among top-selling men's jeans on Amazon, while online traffic grew 25% at Wrangler and 37% at Helly Hansen in the quarter, with both improving sequentially from Q1, the note said.

Google search interest in Helly Hansen also jumped 190% year-over-year as of mid-June, the bank noted.

UBS still sees limited stock upside around the print, as the market already expects a similar beat-and-raise outcome, and sentiment remains mixed given short interest and lingering skepticism on Helly Hansen growth and Lee divestiture costs.

UBS rates the stock buy with a $131 price target.
