Kodiak AI, DTL Transport Begin Autonomous Truck Deliveries in California

Kodiak AI (KDK) has started autonomous truck deliveries with DTL Transport in California under a new state permit, transporting perishable goods along the I-5 and CA-99 corridors, the company said Thursday.

The pilot, which began Tuesday, involves hauling produce on a roughly 225-mile route between Fresno and a Los Angeles distribution center, with a human safety driver onboard during initial operations, Kodiak AI said.

Kodiak AI said it plans to launch driverless operations on public highways in Texas by the end of 2026.
