Kingsgate Consolidated (ASX:KCN) has restarted processing at Chatree gold mine's Plant 1 at 50% of normal capacity following remediation works and modifications to the plant's processing circuit, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company said SAG Mill 1 has been recommissioned, increasing Plant 1 throughput to around 130 wet tonnes per hour and restoring total Chatree processing capacity to more than 4 million tonnes per annum, while repairs to Ball Mill 1 are ongoing, per the filing.
The company is fast-tracking Ball Mill 1 refurbishment, including bearing repairs, lubrication system upgrades, and specialist contractor work, while mining operations remain uninterrupted and are being optimized to maintain production performance, the filing added.
The company's shares rose 13% in recent Wednesday trade.
