Keyence (TYO:6861) posted a 51% year-over-year surge in attributable net income for the quarter ended June 20 to 139.1 billion yen from 92.1 billion yen.
The factory automation equipment maker's basic earnings per share were 573.69 yen, compared with 379.82 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.
Net sales surged 33% to 346.6 billion yen for the three months to June 20 from 261.1 billion yen a year ago.
The company plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 275 yen per share each for the year, unchanged from the year-ago period.
