Keppel Infrastructure Trust (SGX:A7RU) has committed 34 million euros to acquire a 45% stake in a second German solar portfolio from Enpal via a special purpose vehicle, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
The special purpose vehicle holds a 90% stake in the portfolio, with Keppel Infrastructure Trust holding a 50% interest in the vehicle. The transaction follows the trust's previous acquisition of a 45% stake in an Enpal solar portfolio in December 2023.
The portfolio comprises about 13,700 bundled solar photovoltaic systems, mostly installed across residential rooftops, with committed equity also funding additional systems, which are expected to be deployed through June 2027.
The recent acquisition is expected to bring the trust's total renewable energy capacity to 1.4 gigawatt.
