Keppel (SGX:BN4) has agreed to divest its entire 40% equity interest in Empire City for $270 million, through its real estate division, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
The transaction, which is expected to complete by the fourth quarter of the year, will help the global asset manager achieve its monetization target of SG$2 billion to SG$3 billion this year.
Empire City was established to develop a waterfront site, comprising residential and mixed-use developments.
