KeePer Technical Laboratory's May Sales Jump 51%

KeePer Technical Laboratory's (TYO:6036) total sales surged 51% year-on-year to 1.43 billion yen in May, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Sales at 144 directly operated stores jumped 49% year-on-year, while sales at 132 existing stores increased by 43%, and net sales from franchise stores soared 136% year on year.

During the month, the total number of stores, including franchises, reached 178.

Black Bear Minerals Receives 'Exceptional' Results at Texas Project; Shares Up 8%

Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) received "exceptional" high-grade silver results from drilling at the Shafter project in Texas, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.Diamond drilling yielded results in the northeast of the project, including 8.8 meters at 307 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of silver, 0.7% lead, 0.8% zinc and 0.1 g/t grade of gold from 259 meters, including 1.4 meters at 958 g/t grade of silver, 2% lead, 1.9% zinc and 0.2 g/t grade of gold, the filing said.Further results were also received from holes outside the foreign mineral resource estimate in the project's southwest, expanding the mineralized footprint, per the filing.Shares rose 8% in morning trade Thursday.

ASMPT Completes Sale of NEXX Unit to Applied Materials

ASMPT (HKG:0522) completed the sale of ASMPT NEXX, a wholly owned subsidiary held through its indirect unit ASMPT USA, to Applied Materials for $120 million, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.Following completion of the transaction, ASMPT NEXX has ceased to be a subsidiary of the company and its financial results will no longer be consolidated into ASMPT's financial statements.The chip gear maker said the purchase price was determined through a competitive bidding process, with Applied Materials submitting the highest bid.The company expects to record a net gain of about HK$11 million from the disposal, based on estimated net sale proceeds of $116 million, and adjustments for working capital and indebtedness.
