Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (TYO:9107) recorded a 22% decline in attributable profit in the first fiscal quarter to 23.4 billion yen from 29.9 billion yen a year prior.
Basic EPS was 37.42 yen in the three months, down from 47.40 yen in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday Tokyo bourse filing.
The transport company's operating revenue climbed 17% to 286.8 billion yen from 244.9 billion yen.
The company forecasts attributable profit of 135 billion yen, basic EPS of 220.79 yen, operating revenue of 1.07 trillion yen, and a total dividend of 120 yen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
