Kao's (TYO:4452) attributable net income rose 32.3% to 65.7 billion yen in the first six months of 2026, from 49.6 billion yen a year ago, according to a Wednesday filing to the Tokyo bourse.
Basic earnings per share came in at 72.58 yen from 53.42 yen a year earlier, the chemical and cosmetics company said.
Net sales in H1 also increased 7.8% to 871.9 billion yen from 809.0 billion yen a year ago.
For the financial year ending Dec. 31, the company expects attributable income of 135 billion yen, net sales of 1.8 trillion yen and basic EPS of 149.21 yen.
