Kansai Electric Power (TYO:9503) said Mihama Nuclear Power Station Unit 3 is scheduled to reconnect to the power grid on Sept. 15, following a review of its refueling outage and implementation of measures related to a steam leak from the high-pressure turbine.
The Tokyo-listed operator said that Unit 3 at the 826-megawatt pressurized water reactor was manually shut down on May 8 after the company confirmed the steam leak. Its 29th refueling outage began on June 16 and has proceeded as planned.
The company said it replaced the upper casing closure cap and established guidelines based on its investigation into the leak.
