Kakao Pay (KRX:377300) posted a 215% year-over-year surge in net income attributable to owners of the parent to 40.0 billion won from 12.7 billion won for the second quarter, according to a Tuesday filing with the Korea Exchange.
Sales rose 41% to 335.1 billion won from 238.3 billion won for the three months ended June 30.
Shares of the digital wallet service provider rose nearly 2% in recent trade.
