Jupiter Power, a Texas-based energy storage company, on Wednesday said it has secured $1.4 billion in financing in four separate transactions to support 10 utility-scale battery energy storage system projects in Texas and Michigan with a total combined capacity of 1,500-megawatt/3,600 megawatt-hours capacity.
The transactions closed between April and July this year and include senior secured project debt, tax equity bridge loans, and an investment-grade US private placement. It also brings the total financing raised by the company since its inception to over $3 billion.
Jupiter Power has 5.6 gigawatt/19.7 gigawatt-hours of projects currently in operating, in construction or under contract stage, in addition to another 23 GW of projects in development across the US, the company said in a statement.
