JSW Energy Commissions Wind Blade Manufacturing Plant in Gujarat

JSW Energy (NSE:JSWENERGY, BOM:533148) has commissioned a wind blade manufacturing facility at Halol in Gujarat, India according to an Indian bourse filing on Monday.

The plant has an annual capacity to produce up to 450 wind blades, equal to about 600 MW of wind projects, the company said in the filing. It will manufacture 82-metre blades for 4 MW wind turbine generators, it added.

Another wind blade manufacturing facility is in advanced stages of commissioning at Chitradurga in Karnataka, India, the filing said.

JSW Energy has an installed wind capacity of 3.9 GW and a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW across thermal, hydro and renewable segments. It has an energy storage capacity of 29.6 GWh, according to the filing.
