Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) said Wednesday that new data from ongoing phase 3 MajesTEC-3 trial has demonstrated sustained disease control and survival rates for relapsed multiple myeloma patients receiving its dual-drug combination therapy.
Statistical models estimated that the regimen with TECVAYLI or teclistamab plus daratumumab extends median overall survival nearly four times longer than standard care options, the company said.
In an analysis, statistical modelling estimated that more than 85% of patients treated with the combination may have a mortality risk and projected life expectancy same as an age-matched general population, according to a statement.
The ongoing study showed approximately 83% of treated patients remained alive after three years while cutting the disease progression risk by 90% versus standard of care, the company added.
