JBS N.V. (JBS) named Wesley Batista Filho as Global Chief Executive Officer late Monday, succeeding Gilberto Tomazoni, who will step down from the role after eight years.
Batista Filho started his career at the food processing company 15 years ago and has led divisions across its global operations, including the JBS USA unit since 2023.
Tomazoni will oversee the transition over the next five months and then take on the position of Vice Chairman of the Board and Senior Advisor.
Shares fell more than 6% in late afternoon trading.
