Jardine Matheson's Profit Climbs 3% in H1

Jardine Matheson (SGX:J36) recorded a 3% rise in attributable profit for the first half of 2026 to $542 million from $528 million a year prior.

Earnings per share stood at $1.84, up from $1.81 previously, according to a Thursday Singapore bourse filing.

Revenue slipped 7% to $15.9 billion from $17.1 billion in the year-ago period.

The diversified investment company declared a cash dividend of $0.65 per share for the interim period, payable Oct. 14 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 21.

The company also upgraded its full year dividend guidance to over $2.47 per share.

United Microelectronics Board OKs Up to NT$1.7 Billion Investment in Private Equity Fund

United Microelectronics (TPE:2303) board approved an investment of up to NT$1.7 billion in private equity fund TGVest Asia Partners III (Taiwan), according to a Wednesday Taiwan Exchange filing.The investment will be made through capital contributions based on capital call notices under the fund's limited partnership agreement.The funds will be used as a long-term investment, it said.
