Japan Post Insurance (TYO:7181) posted a 1.5% year-over-year decline in attributable net income for the fiscal first quarter to 34.1 billion yen from 34.7 billion yen.
The life insurer's basic net income per share was 31.72 yen, compared with 31.06 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Ordinary income fell 4.9% to 1.364 trillion yen from 1.434 trillion yen for the three months ended June 30.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable net income of 141 billion yen, net income per share of 131.35 yen, and ordinary income of 5.13 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay annual dividends of 50 yen per share for the current year, unchanged from the year-ago period, with interim and year-end dividends of 25 yen each.
