Japan Post Bank's (TYO:7182) net income attributable to owners of the parent gained nearly 69.3% to 177.6 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 104.9 billion yen a year earlier.
The banking company's basic net income per share rose to 49.85 yen from 29.29 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Ordinary income increased 27.1% to 848.2 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 667.2 billion yen in the year-ago corresponding period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable net income of 660 billion yen, net income per share of 185.29 yen, and net ordinary income of 955 billion yen.
The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 93 yen per share for the fiscal year.
