Japan Display (TYO:6740) concluded the sale of its Tottori Fab and expects to record an extraordinary gain of about 500 million yen in the first half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, according to a Monday filing with the Korean Exchange.
The sale was carried out to improve competitiveness and profitability, since LCD production at the facility ceased in March 2025. Relocation of the office is scheduled for Sept. 24, the filing said.
Shares of Japan Display fell 2% at market close.
