Japan's cabinet imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on imported hot-dip galvanized steel coil, sheet, and strip from South Korea and China, according to a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry release on Wednesday.
The ministry said that the order, to protect domestic steel producers, will be published on Friday, and the provisional duties will be imposed from Saturday through Dec. 7.
The order follows an investigation launched in response to an application seeking anti-dumping measures to protect domestic industry.
