J.M. Smucker (SJM) is starting to benefit from its focus on organic growth as demonstrated by its fiscal Q1 performance, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Thursday.
The report said coffee and Uncrustables powered the quarter's results, which also benefited from tariff refunds.
"SJM's momentum, despite volatile macros and commodities, drove results past an already elevated buyside bar," it said.
The report said core businesses are showing healthy growth and the firm is turning around underperforming parts of its portfolio.
RBC kept its outperform rating and raised its price target to $150 from $135 after raising its fiscal 2027 estimates.
