Japanese retailer Izumi (TYO:8273) temporarily closed all 35 stores in Kumamoto Prefecture, including Youme Town, Youme Mart, and SUNNY establishments, after some suffered damage to exterior and interior facilities following the earthquake on Tuesday, according to a Wednesday filing with the Tokyo Exchange.
The company said that more than a dozen employees were injured, although none suffered life-threatening injuries.
Shares of Izumi rose nearly 3% in recent trade.
