Itron Expands Collaboration With Australian Utility Hunter Water

Itron (ITRI) said Tuesday it is expanding its collaboration with Hunter Water, the water utility serving the Lower Hunter region of New South Wales, Australia, to advance its digital metering program.

Hunter Water plans to use data to improve water network management and reduce non-revenue water, Itron said, adding that the utility is deploying a variety of meters including Itron Intelis wSource NB-IoT ultrasonic water meters.

Itron shares were up about 2% in morning trading.
