Iron Bear Resources Submits Application for Project of National Significance Status in Canada; Shares Up 3%

Iron Bear Resources (ASX:IBR) lodged an application for its Iron Bear project to be recognized as a Project of National Significance in Canada, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Projects of national significance are expected to benefit from simplified and expedited federal approvals, improved coordination and visibility between provincial and federal jurisdictions, and access to federal resources and support, the filing said.

Shares rose 3% in morning trade on Wednesday.

Hazer Group Secures Japanese Patent for Process to Produce Hydrogen, Graphitic Carbon From Hydrocarbons

Hazer Group (ASX:HZR) said the Japanese Patent Office granted a patent pertaining to the process for producing hydrogen and graphitic carbon from hydrocarbons, extending coverage beyond the production of hydrogen from methane or natural gas using an iron oxide catalyst to include additional key proprietary attributes of the Hazer process, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The application pertaining to the patent was accepted in May by issuance of the notice of acceptance.The company's shares were up 1% in recent Wednesday trade.

Bromat Holdings Appoints Independent Financial Adviser for Cash Offer

Bromat Holdings (SGX:9I7) has appointed Novus Corporate Finance as the independent financial adviser for the mandatory unconditional cash offer by its non-executive director, Frank Liu Tao, according to a Tuesday filing to the Singapore stock exchange.Last month, Tao reached a global settlement agreement with Valiant Investments and Michael Koh Tat Lee, triggering a mandatory unconditional cash takeover offer for all remaining shares of the company.Under the terms of the corporate transaction, the director will extend an offer of SG$0.031 per share in cash, taking his stake in the company to 80.69%.
