Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps struck US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait with drones and missiles in retaliation to US airstrikes, several media outlets reported on Wednesday.
The IRGC also claimed shooting down a US MQ-9 drone, stating the actions openly violated the Islamabad understanding ceasefire, as per the reports. The US aircraft was downed after it attempted to interfere with the retaliatory military operation, the reports added.
The reports noted that this latest round of hostilities follows a fresh wave of overnight US military strikes, which targeted a number of coastal bases and non-military stations in Iran's southern Hormozgan province and Mahshahr.
