US-based power developer and operator Invenergy and HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital Inc. (HASI) have closed a strategic equity partnership supporting a 2.7-gigawatt portfolio of Invenergy projects across the US, HASI said in a statement on Thursday.
The portfolio includes 10 utility-scale solar, solar-plus-storage and wind projects across seven states and six major US power markets. More than 850 megawatts are currently operating, with the remaining projects expected to enter service by the first quarter of 2027.
Invenergy will retain majority ownership and control of the projects and continue managing day-to-day operations. HASI will fund its investment in each project as it reaches commercial operation.
The projects are backed by long-term agreements with investment-grade offtakers, including corporate, utility, and public-sector customers.
The partnership builds on an existing relationship between the companies and is intended to provide Invenergy with capital to support continued growth and development of clean energy and storage infrastructure.
