InterGlobe Aviation (BOM:539448, NSE:INDIGO), parent of Indian airline IndiGo, received a penalty order from the Noida Goods and Services Tax authority.
The authority imposed a penalty of 1.97 million rupees for alleged deficiencies in documents during the transportation of goods, according to a Tuesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The airline said the required documents were available and the order was erroneous. IndiGo plans to contest the order before the appropriate appellate authority.
The company said the penalty will have no significant impact on its financials, operations, or other activities.
