Insurance Australia Group (ASX:IAG) logged AU$0.2178 in cash earnings per share for the fiscal second-half, compared with AU$0.224 a year ago, a Thursday filing showed.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of AU$0.23.
For the six months ended June 30, gross written premium was AU$9.48 billion versus AU$8.68 billion previously, the Australia-listed insurance company added. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected AU$9.45 billion.
The board declared a final dividend of AU$0.20 per share, up from AU$0.19 a year earlier, payable Sept. 28 to shareholders on record as of Aug. 25.
The company expects fiscal 2027 gross written premium growth of 5% to 8%, with a reported insurance margin of about 15% to roughly 17%.
