Maplebear (CART), known as Instacart, has launched a new in-store software that gives grocers and brands a real-time digital view of store shelves, the company said Monday.
The tools use data from Instacart shopper shelf scans and Caper Carts to track product availability, demand and merchandising.
For store managers, Inventory Intelligence will support shelf monitoring, replenishment, merchandising and demand forecasting, while the Store Excellence Portal gives brands daily visibility into product availability and estimated lost sales, Instacart said.
The company's shares were 1.2% higher in early Monday trading.
