Innovax's Chair, CEO Step Down; Controlling Shareholder Named as Successor

Innovax's (HKG:2680) Chairman Chung Chi Man and CEO Poon Siu Kuen, Calvin, resigned effective May 30 due to a change in control of the firm, according to a May 29 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the financial company were up 4% in Monday afternoon trading.

The firm, on the same day, named Wang Tingfa as its new chair and CEO.

Wang is a controlling shareholder of the company as he owns Billion Shine International Investment, which holds a 75% stake in the firm.

Nine Entertainment (ASX:NEC) is facing a rival bid from competitor Foxtel for the National Rugby League's (NRL) streaming rights, as Foxtel has pitched for all the NRL rights, according to a Monday report by the Australian Financial Review, citing two people with knowledge of the negotiations.Foxtel has also spoken to Seven and Ten television networks about them broadcasting some of the games on free-to-air, the report added.Foxtel, which is a unit of UK-listed DAZN Group, will remove the Nine Network as an NRL broadcaster if its strategy succeeds, the report added.Foxtel cannot make a bid for NRL rights alone due to Australia's anti-siphoning laws, which are designed to prevent popular sports events from becoming entirely paywalled or fee-based, the report added.AFR added that the NRL is currently divided between the free-to-air Nine Network and Foxtel until the end of the 2027 season.Nine did not immediately respond to' email request for comment.(Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally. Shandong High Speed Renewable Energy (SHE:000803) agreed to acquire a 65% stake in Hengyang Sunde Kaitian Renewable Resources Technology for 50 million yuan via its subsidiary Shandong Top Ten.The target, which operates a 260-ton-per-day kitchen waste facility in Hunan, China, was previously auctioned on Taobao's judicial platform, according to a weekend filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Shandong Zijian won the stake for 55.3 million yuan before negotiating the 50-million-yuan sale to Shandong High Speed.The deal requires approval from the Hengyang Urban Management Bureau.Shares of the infrastructure services provider rose 5% in recent trade.
