Ingenia Communities Group (ASX:INA) rejected an unsolicited AU$4.75-per-security cash takeover proposal from Warburg Pincus, saying the offer "substantially undervalues" the company and is not in the best interests of its security holders, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The conditional proposal is subject to due diligence, regulatory approvals, and board recommendation, and is contingent on the company abandoning its proposed acquisition of Peet (ASX:PPC), per the filing.
The company said it remains confident in its growth strategy, supported by strong demand for land lease communities and holiday parks, and reaffirmed the importance of the Peet acquisition in securing its future development pipeline.
