Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Lists $713 Million of Green Bonds on Nasdaq Dubai

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, or ICBC, listed $713 million of dual-currency green bonds on Nasdaq Dubai, according to a Thursday release.

The issuance comprised $300 million of three-year floating-rate notes, priced at Secured Overnight Financing Rate plus 35 basis points, and 2.8 billion yuan of fixed-rate bonds, which received subscriptions of $1.2 billion and 10 billion yuan, respectively.

The transactions raise ICBC's overall outstanding bonds on Nasdaq Dubai to $4.24 billion.

Huadian Power International (SHA:600027, HKG:1071) issued medium-term bonds worth 1 billion yuan, according to a Thursday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.The bonds have a coupon rate of 1.74% and a term of five years.China Merchants Bank (SHA:600036, HKG:3968) and Bank of China (SHA:601988, HKG:3988) acted as lead underwriters for the issuance.Proceeds will be used to pay debt and supplement the power company's working capital.The company's Shanghai shares jumped 3% and Hong Kong shares rose 2% during the morning trade.

Huadian Power International (SHA:600027) raised net proceeds of 1 billion yuan via the issue of three-year sci-tech innovation corporate bonds carrying a coupon rate of 1.61%.Shares of the company rose nearly 3% in late-mornig trade Thursday.Proceeds will fund debt repayment, working capital replenishment and project investments, according to a Wednesday aftermarket filing with the Shanghai bourse.GF Securities, Huatai United Securities, Guotai Haitong Securities, China Merchants Securities, Industrial Securities and China Galaxy Securities acted as lead underwriters.
