Hyundai Rotem Says Iraq K2 Tank Export Talks Remain Unconfirmed

Hyundai Rotem (KRX:064350) is currently engaging in sales activities with several countries to diversify its defense export markets and explore opportunities for K2 tank exports, but no specific details have been confirmed yet, according to a Wednesday filing with the Korea Exchange.

The statement was issued in response to a news report by AsiaToday on Sept. 26, 2025, that Iraq had shown interest in the K2 tank. The company will provide an update once the matter is confirmed or within six months, the filing said.

Shares of Hyundai Rotem rose nearly 2% at market close.
