Hyundai Motor India (NSE:HYUNDAI, BOM:544274) said a fire broke out on May 31 at a manufacturing facility of supplier Mobis India Ltd. in Tamil Nadu's Kancheepuram district, according to a Monday filing.
The facility supplies audio components and certain automotive parts to Hyundai Motor India. The company said the incident may cause a temporary disruption to production.
No fatalities were reported. Hyundai said it has sufficient vehicle inventory at dealerships to meet customer demand.
The company's shares fell nearly 2% in recent trade.
