Hyundai Motor (KRX:005380) expects to book a sales hit of 9.56 trillion won from the planned suspension of its Asan factory to replace aging equipment, according to a Korea bourse filing on Friday.
The figure represents 5.13% of the carmaker's consolidated sales in 2025.
The suspension, which will run from July 25 to Aug. 11, excludes the ongoing collective bargaining-related stoppage.
The board internally approved the decision on July 24, with the suspension period incorporating the plant's scheduled summer vacation between Aug. 3 and Aug. 7.
