Hyundai Elevator (KRX:017800) resumed operations at its Chungju plant on Thursday, Aug. 6, after suspending a labor union strike that had halted production for a cumulative 24 hours, according to a Thursday bourse filing.
Manufacturing at the plant was temporarily suspended during regular working hours from Aug. 3 to 5 due to the strike over collective bargaining negotiations. The company said it resumed normal operations after the labor action was suspended to help facilitate an amicable settlement.
However, Hyundai Elevator said production could be suspended again depending on the progress of the negotiations.
