Hycroft Mining (HYMC) shares rose more than 12% in Wednesday afternoon trading, a day after the company reported additional high-grade silver drill results from its Brimstone and Vortex systems at the Hycroft Mine in Nevada.
At Brimstone, drilling intersected 82.7 meters grading 87.52 g/t silver and 0.77 g/t gold, including 19.4 meters at 108.19 g/t silver and 2.10 g/t gold.
The company said the results confirmed high-grade silver continuity closer to surface and supported the potential for a feeder system at depth.
At Vortex, drilling extended the high-grade silver system about 150 meters west, with 12.5 meters grading 375.41 g/t silver, including 4.2 meters at 748.02 g/t silver.
Hycroft said the results support its strategy of expanding both systems to define the best path for development, including the potential for a high-grade underground silver mine.
