HUTCHMED (China) (HKG:0013) said its savolitinib combination with AstraZeneca's osimertinib significantly improved progression-free and overall survival in a Phase III lung cancer trial.
The SAFFRON trial evaluated patients whose cancer had progressed after osimertinib treatment and whose tumors had high levels of MET, according to a Monday Hong Kong exchange filing. The safety profile was consistent with the known effects of the two drugs, with no new safety findings.
Shares of the company jumped nearly 5% in recent trade.
